I am a figurative painter. I love watching people interact, and capturing these interactions within my paintings as well as their personalities and characteristics.

My paintings often contain narratives, which capture intimate moments within everyday occurances. I have looked particularly within the domestic interior to capture these moments. Light and colour being an integral aspect to create form and emotion within my work.

I propose to move my interest in narratives to the subject of dance; I will incorporate the movement within my paintings by celebrating my love for painting rapidly, loosely and intuitively. The representation of the relationships between the dancers and the intimacy involved between them to create the dance will be particularly important aspects of the paintings

I look forward to travelling in the future and capturing the different cultures and the people that represent the culture through painting.
